A Frog Thing is a short
illustrated book with an audio CD of the text.  It comes from the author of Elison
the Elephant, Leo the Lightning Bug, and It’s Me!, all
published by Kidwick books.  Frank is a
frog who wants to fly, but since he is a frog, everyone tells him he is not
able to.  But some birds take him on a trip through the air, so he flies in a
sense.  The watercolor illustrations by James Muscarello are quirkily sweet and
the audio production, featuring some children, is charming.  This is
appropriate for small children, and may help them learn not only about
accepting the limitations of being small, but also about how helping others
will help you get what you want.
