Last of the Party Room trilogy, Last Call by Morgan Burke
is an exciting murder mystery with twists and turns to keep the reader
engaged.  The main character, Kirsten Sawyer is now attending NYU.  Still
recovering from her best friend’s murder, she witnesses a girl falling from a
balcony at the student union.  Kristen swears she saw
Sam’s murderer on the balcony at the time of the girls fall but is shocked to
find out that the prep school murderer was dead.  She revisits old friends at
the upper Manhattan party room but unexplained things begin to happen. The
murderer strikes again and Kirsten has convinced herself that she will be the
next victim. The murderer isn’t the person they originally thought it was but
the reader will be surprised to find out who really was behind all the
murders.  The reader is certainly kept on the edge of their seat with the hand-wringing
climax in this book.

The
author has done a great job with suspense even though there is less of the
party scene but has used enough mystery to keep the reader wanting more.  I
highly recommend this book if you want a little excitement in a story.
